27032019: #FINLAND IN WINTER

Hyvää päivää! 🙂 Better late than never 😀 But here come my impressions of February’s Finland trip. I stayed at my dad’s house near by Tampere and was doing almost every winter sports you can imagine, haha. Finland is just the perfect escape if you want to calm down and be for yourself as the country is so “empty”. I love it! Though it’s not my preferred climate I really enjoy real winter for couple of days. What I don’t need is a German winter. But a Finnish winter can be so beautiful, I can’t tell 🙂 Besser spät als nie 😀 Aber heute gibt’s endlich mal den schon länger angekündigten Finnland-Blogpost.

03032019: #PITSIDIA®

Kali spera! It’s a bit funny how I find myself always writing hello in the language depending on the country, which the post will be about. So as you might guess after inserting a Lisbon-post I’ll come back to Greece again. 🙂 I have perviously been writing about Pitsidia on my blog (I guess even several times), which I love calling my second home. And still again each time I go there I want to share my latest impressions of the little village in the very South of the island Crete. Probably for me personally it is rather a feeling of home-coming when arriving there, but it’s also that very friendly and original atmosphere, also from an objective point of view. As if tourism still hasn’t arrived there, though it actually has the past years and Pitsidia turns out …

12022019: #TWO DAYS IN LISBON

Hey ho everyone! Bom dia! 🙂 Time for some Portugal-vibes today! Last autumn I made a Portugal round trip starting in Lisbon. Portugal’s capital is such a beautiful city, I really didn’t know about. A city, which I really consider to live in in the future. Lisbon has everything: lovely architecture, the most beautiful tires, culture and spreads positive vibes. 🙂  I stayed in the HUB New Hostel, which was near by Bairro Alto, so quite central. I can only recommend this Hostel, but I guess there are quite a few good ones in Lisbon. I’m a person who …

22012019: #MATALA – THE LAST HIPPIE VILLAGE

Kali spera! 🙂 Hope you’re all getting through winter well! I’m really freezing a lot these days (-5°C and no snow atm) and still can’t wait to travel to Finland in February after not being there for 8 years. However, this is going to be another sun-loaded post about Crete! I previously wrote about my time in Agios Nikolaos, so today I’ll give you some impressions about Matala, a small village in the South of the island. Matala is a cute little town (quite touristy for …

29042018: #FUERTEVENTURA – EL COTILLO

¡Buenas tardes! 🙂 Time for some Spain vibes on a cloudy Sunday afternoon! Overall happy As we made it to our “tradition” do go on a last-minute trip to wherever over Easter, we mostly end up in Spain during this time of the year. This year it was Fuerteventura (just like last year :D). It was my third time on Fuerte and I have to say that it was my favorite trip there. The first time (I think 2010 or 2011) we’ve been to Costa Calma, a very tourisic center. It was a nice holiday in a great hotel but I prefer to be in a less “touri-place”. The second trip last year went to Jandia, in the very South of the Island. Beautiful Beaches around, a lot of cliffs and in the middle of nowhere – also nice, but not that amazing if you don’t have a car. This year we’ve been to El Cotillo, a very cute little village in the North-west of Fuerteventura. …

02052017: #EASTER SHORT TRIP TO FUERTEVENTURA

Buenos días ! The greatest ideas are the spontaneous ones. Proving that again I booked this trip 72 hours before departing. Well, I also have to admit that I planned to make a trip over the easter holidays already three weeks ago. But to make the excitement bigger (and because of the high prices :D) I waited with the booking procedure ’til tuesday night. Departure was friday morning at 6 a.m.. My only requirements were sun and sea. Wherever. As the duration was limited to a maximum of four days, it had to be a country, which is not to far away. Quiz: Where in Europe the sun is strong enough in April ? On the canarian islands (at least it’s supposed to be and it was proved). As I already took the excitement in the headline (huge journalistic mistake, hahah), the chosen destination was Fuerte Ventura.

08032017: #EXPLORING LANZAROTE

Hey guys ! :> First of all I really need to apologize for the lack of posts during the last weeks. After the trip to Lanzarote I was super busy moving to Hamburg and searching for a room there (and yes, I was successful). Well, about the trip itself I have to mention that I booked it two days before departure. I was considering Fuerte Ventura, Tenerife and Lanzarote and at the end I decided to fly to Lanzarote, as the climate should be better over there. The island is famous for the black lava sand beaches and it’s landscape which was formed by the vulcans. Then there is Cesar Manrique, the architect who made the island to which it is now. He once said ‘no building should be higher than a palm tree’. That quote is essential for all …

12022017: #24H AMSTERDAM

Goedendag ! :> Everyone who knows me well, also knows that I hate traveling by bus. This time we decided to make a journey to Amsterdam with flixbus as we wanted to go and come back within 24 hours. Well, from Dusseldorf its actually not that far. 2,5-3 hours and you arrive. And so we booked the bus at 7:10 a.m. from Dusseldorf and 6:00 pm back from Amsterdam. Alarm clock at 5:00 a.m. ‘It’s gonna be a long day’. A look on the phone and a delay SMS arrived: 1 h 40 min ! At the end it came out that the bus literally was delayed 3 hours ! Great start and a lot of upset calls with flixbus. We wanted to change the coming back bus to a later one but it wasn’t possible (I still don’t understand why they couldn’t change it). And so we decided to make it our way. No risk, no fun; we just enter the late bus and it’s gonna be ok. ______________________________________________________ Jeder, der mich gut kennt, …
