23122017: #BALI PART THREE: KANTO LAMPO WATERFALL

Hello from Bali ! 🙂

Tomorrow it’s Christmas, wow, can’t believe how the time passed by this year ! 😮 It feels weird to leave out Christmas completely this year, but definitely an experience to make ! Actually I won’t skip it… Location and way of celebrating it will just be (a little) different: Tonight I’m going to do a tour to Mount Batur to do a sunrise trekking up the Vulcano. So I will be sending Christmas-love from a Vulcano tomorrow morning, hahah (blogpost will of course follow).

Ich kann kaum glauben, wie schnell dieses Jahr vergangen ist, morgen ist einfach schon Weihnachten ! 😮 Irgendwie komisch, Weihnachten einmal komplett ausfallen zu lassen, aber definitiv eine Erfahrung wert! Naja, was heißt ausfallen lassen… Location und Anlass sind einfach etwas anders: Für mich geht es morgen früh (heute nacht) zum Mount Batur, ein (hoffentlich) inaktiver Vulkan, den ich bei Sonnenaufgang hochwandern werde. Die Weihnachts-Grüße schicke ich dieses Jahr von der Spitze eines Vulkans, warum nicht ? 😀 (Ein Blogpost wird natürlich folgen).

When you are in Bali, you have to visit a waterfall – can be any – but you have to ! The most famous one is probably “GitGit”. I haven’t been there yet, but it’s on my (long) list of things I want to do in Bali. 🙂 However, this time we decided to visit “Kanto Lampo” as it’s better to reach by scooter (though  1 hour, but at least not 3,5 for a daytrip hahah). It’s not as high as the other waterfalls in Bali but therefore less touristic ! It’s amazing how nature can surprise you again and again allover the world with amazing beauty. I feel like every country has a beauty given by nature except Germany 😀 Nevertheless – here you go with some impressions <3

Wer auf Bali ist, muss mindestens einen Wasserfall besichtigen – egal welchen, Hauptsache einen ! Der berühmteste ist wahrscheinlich der “GitGit”. Dort war ich zwar noch nicht, aber steht auch auf meiner sehr langen To-Do-Liste hier auf Bali. Wie auch immer, dieses Mal haben wir uns für den Wasserfall “Kanto Lampo” entschieden, unter anderem weil dieser besser mit dem Roller zu erreichen ist (trotzdem eine Stunde Fahrt, aber immerhin keine 3,5 h hahah). Kanto Lampo ist etwas kleiner und nicht ganz so hoch wie die anderen Wasserfälle, dafür aber auch nicht ganz so voll von Touristen ! 😀 Es ist Wahnsinn, wie einen die Natur immer wieder überraschen kann mit so schönen Orten. Irgendwie hab ich das Gefühl, Deutschland hat von dieser Schönheit nicht so ganz viel von abbekommen… 😀 Egal, hier die Eindrücke von “Kanto Lampo” <3

The beautiful corner: Hiking up the waterfall holding yourself  at a rope is definitely worth it ! It looks like a little Spring inside of the rocks. But ATTENTION: Take care of where you put your head if you don’t want to end caught and in panic in a spider net of those HUGE black spiders. Almost got a heart attack when I saw them hanging there besides the rocks (at least in time !).

Die schöne, versteckte Ecke: Es lohnt sich definitiv, den rutschigen Weg hoch zum Wasserfall zu wagen (ohne das Seil, an dem man sich festhält allerdings unmöglich :D) Ich bin natürlich trotz Seil ausgerutscht, olé. Jedenfalls verbirgt sich hinter dem Wasserfall eine kleine Höhle mit klarem Wasser, wie aus einer Quelle ! 🙂 Aber ACHTUNG: Aufpassen, wo ihr euren Kopf ausstreckt… wenn ihr nicht in einem Netz der FETTEN schwarzen Spinnen enden wollt, die da so rumhängen. Habe fast einen Herzinfarkt bekommen, als ich die entdeckt habe – zum Glück rechtzeitig ! Trotzdem einen kurzen “Schüttel-Ekel-hab-ich-irgendwo-was”-Anfall bekommen… 😀 

I love printed photos – To hold a real photo in your hands is so much more memory than swiping through thousands of photos on your smartphone – who agrees ? 🙂 Always wanted to buy a polaroid camera (don’t know why I still didn’t do that), it’s on my list (thanks to Leonie at this point for the photo <3 ).

Ich liebe ausgedruckte Fotos – Der Unterschied, ein echtes Foto in der Hand zu halten und auf einem Smartphone zwischen 1000 Fotos hin und her zu swipen ist gravierend – Wer stimmt zu ? 🙂 Ich wollte mir eigentlich schon immer eine Polaroid-Kamera anschaffen (weiß nicht, warum ich es noch nicht getan hab), ist auf der Liste wieder hochgerutscht 🙂 (Danke an dieser Stelle an Leonie für das tolle Foto, ich freue mich wirklich sehr drüber 😀 <3 ).

That’s it already for today, it’s sleeping time soon as the alarm clock will ring at 1 a.m. – congrats to myself… 😀

So das war’s dann auch für heute – früh ins Bett, denn der Wecker klingelt lässig um kurz nach eins… 😀 Wundervolle Weihnachten euch allen ! <3
