04112017: #BYEBYE MUNICH

Hello everyone ! 🙂

Actually it is kind of late for this post but anyway this will be the last “winter”-post for the winter 2017/2018. Well, let’s put this into an order. I really enjoyed the three month in Munich, were I moved for an internship at ELLE Magazine. I have to say that I will miss my work there, the world’s best sport-meets-wine-shared flat and my lovely old bicycle! My opinion is fixed: Considering only Germany Munich is the best choice by far.

Eigentlich kommt dieser Blogpost schon fast ein bisschen spät. Der erste und auch letzte “Winter-Outfit-Post” für dieses Jahr. Alles auf Anfang: Ich habe die drei Monate in München sehr genossen: Das Praktikum bei der ELLE, die weltbeste Sport-meets-Wein-WG und meinen Drahtesel werde ich sicher vermissen. Meine Meinung steht: München ist innerhalb Deutschlands mit Abstand die beste Wahl. 

The three month passed by like days. And everything went different as I thought but still in a good sense. Less storytelling more facts: As soon as I arrived in Munich my second internship got cancelled due to VISA problems (actually everything was planned already). So I had to give up the biggest dream I had until this state of my life (that many people can not understand): Going to America for a while. Consequently I could not enjoy my free time 100% and the nightly application-writing-interview-struggles restarted. Congrats, Josi for that!

Die drei Monate sind wie wenige Tage an mir vorbeigeflogen. Und dazu hat alles anders angefangen, als es eigentlich geplant war. Weniger Bla Bla, mehr Fakten: Zwei Tage nach meiner Ankunft in München stellten sich drastische VISA-Probleme heraus und für mich hieß das ganz spontan: Meinen wahrhaftig aktuell größten Traum (den viele nicht nachvollziehen können) vorerst nicht verwirklichen zu können, obwohl doch eigentlich schon alles feststand. Es geht um einen langfristigen Aufenthalt in den USA. Die Konsequenz daraus war allerdings nicht nur das, sondern auch die Kontinuierlichkeit meines nächtlichen Bewerbungsschreibens und Interviewführens. Mit anderen Worten: Die Freizeit in München nur zu 50% genießen. Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Josi! 

But I do sometimes believe in destiny and it turned out that I would spontaneoulsy leave to Bali for three month. At least I know what all the effort was for! “You are not going to have a winter at all.” – How many years did I dream of this sentence to come true? Here we are. Carefully put my winter coat on a hanger after taking the last winter-outfit-photos for  a while – and: Bye bye Home, bye bye Munich – BYE BYE Germany! See you in a while.

Man muss auch mal an das Schicksal glauben, auch wenn mir das meistens schwerfällt. An dieser Stelle war es notwendig, denn am Ende hat sich ziemlich kurzfristig herausgestellt, dass die Reise für mich diesmal nach Bali geht. Also hat sich die ganze Kraft und Energie wohl doch gelohnt! “Ein Winter ohne Winter.” – Wie lange habe ich davon schon geträumt? 😀 Den Wintermantel habe ich mit großer Sorgfalt in den Kleiderschrank gehängt, natürlich erst nachdem wir die letzten Winter-Outfit-Fotos gemacht haben. Und voilà, schon heißt es: Ciao Auetal, ciao München, ciao Germany! Bis dann mal…

In the meantime I arrived in Bali and already settled in quite well. Blogposts and a lot of pictures will follow of course! Looking at my instastories I posted a week ago, I can see the progressiveness of my scooter-driving-skills so hard, hahah. I have to say even if it’s embarrassing: Since I fell from a motor cycle once I am super afraid of everything on two weels faster than a bicycle. My practicing videos of last week had shown me quite well driving 10 km/h. Now I’m fine driving 60 hahah, never guessed that you can learn something like this so fast.

Mittlerweile bin ich auf Bali angekommen und habe mich tatsächlich schnell eingelebt. Blogposts und ein Haufen Bilder werden natürlich folgen! Bezüglich meiner Instastories der letzten Woche lässt sich tatsächlich ein starker Fortschritt meiner Roller-Skills feststellen, hahah. Seit ich einmal in Deutschland vom Motorrad gefallen bin, hatte ich echt Angst Zweiräder, die schneller als ein Fahrrad sind, zu fahren. Die Videos letzte Woche mit schnellen 10 km/h haben die Situation ganz gut repräsentiert, hahah. Jetzt sind 60 km/h schon ganz nice, hätte nie gedacht, dass man das Rollerfahren doch so schnell beherrscht. 😀
