21052017: #MENSWEAR SUMMER 2017 x BONOBOS

It’s time for some menswear trends again ! Summer is about to arrive, so swimwear is just as important as shorts, t-shirts and some cool styles. I had the honor to mix my favorite outfits from BONOBOS and create some still lives. At the end I decided to publish my moods and inspiration for the outfits as well. As you can see I’m absolutely into pastel colors, and prints on (swim) shorts. My absolute favorite prints are the pineapple- and the cactus-print (fantastic !). The shoe choice is distinct: sneakers always work. I really enjoyed working together with BONOBOS and get into the menswear business more and more. It’s a pity that the menswear business often is still stiff and not loosen up (specially in Germany). The strict codes still can’t be broken, and if they are, wry looks will follow. Not only the image of the woman, but also the one of  the man is changing. It actually should be history for many years that men can’t wear pink or lilac. But at this point Germany is lagging behind a little (actually a lot). All the more important it is, to leave the stone age ego behind and arrive in 2017. Time to catch up. :p

Es wird mal wieder Zeit für ein paar Menswear Trends ! Der Sommer ist schon fast da, also ist die Badehosen-Saison offiziell eröffnet. Shorts und T-Shirts rücken in den Vordergrund und warten nur darauf, neu kombiniert zu werden. Ich hatte die Ehre, aus meinen Lieblingspieces von BONOBOS Outfits zu kreieren. Die könnt ihr hier in den Stillleben sehen. Am Ende habe ich mich dazu entschieden, meine Moods und Inspirationen zu den Outfits auch zu veröffentlichen. Wie unschwer zu erkennen ist, sind Pastell-Farben auf Rang #01 und (Bade)Shorts mit bunten Mustern unumgänglich. Absolute Favoriten sind dabei der Ananas- und der Kaktus-Print (fantastisch !). Die Schuhwahl ist eindeutig: Sneaker gehen einfach immer. Die Zusammenarbeit mit BONOBOS hat wirklich Spaß gemacht und die Menswear Branche rückt immer ein Stückchen mehr in den Vordergrund meines Interesses. Ich finde es schade, dass die Menswear Branche, (gerade in Deutschland), oft immer noch unaufgelockert und steif ist. Strikte Codes dürfen bloß nicht durchbrochen werden, und wenn sie es doch werden, gibt es schiefe Blicke. Es wandelt sich nicht nur das Frauenbild, sondern auch das Männerbild. Dass man als Mann kein rosa  oder lila trägt, sollte eigentlich seit mehreren Jahrzehnten Geschichte sein. In dem Punkt liegt Deutschland leider meilenweit zurück. Umso wichtiger ist es,  das Steinzeit-Ego mal aufzuwecken und in 2017 anzukommen. Jetzt wird aufgeholt. :p
