02052017: #EASTER SHORT TRIP TO FUERTEVENTURA

Buenos días !

The greatest ideas are the spontaneous ones. Proving that again I booked this trip 72 hours before departing. Well, I also have to admit that I planned to make a trip over the easter holidays already three weeks ago. But to make the excitement bigger (and because of the high prices :D) I waited with the booking procedure ’til tuesday night. Departure was friday morning at 6 a.m.. My only requirements were sun and sea. Wherever. As the duration was limited to a maximum of four days, it had to be a country, which is not to far away. Quiz: Where in Europe the sun is strong enough in April ? On the canarian islands (at least it’s supposed to be and it was proved). As I already took the excitement in the headline (huge journalistic mistake, hahah), the chosen destination was Fuerte Ventura.

Spontane Ideen sind grundsätzlich die Besten. Erneuter Beweis dafür ist meine letze Reise, die ich 72 h vor Abflug gebucht habe. Okay, über Ostern einen kleinen Trip einzulegen, war schon seit einigen Wochen fest in meinem Kopf vermerkt. Aber um die Spannung zu halten (und weil die Preise einfach nicht sinken wollten :D), habe ich bis Dienstag Abend gezockt. Abreise Freitag morgen um 6 Uhr. Einzige Bedingungen: Sonne und Meer. Wohin auch immer. Da der Reisezeitraum sich allerdings auf maximal vier Tage begrenzte, durfte das Ziel nicht allzu weit weg sein. Wo gibt es im April genügend Sonne innerhalb Europas ? Auf den kanarischen Inseln (sollte man zumindest annehmen und hat sich auch bestätigt). Wie ich schon in der Überschrift vorweggenommen habe (großer journalistischer Fehler, hahah), ist Fuerteventura das auserwählte Ziel geworden.

It always turns out that the travel duration elongates. At the end the total journey is about 4,5 hours flight plus a transfer of 2 hours. That’s a lot, specially when a Fiat Panda is driving 30 km/h in front of your bus and you just want to reach your hotel. 🙂 Good end: playing really loud ‘Barbara Streisand’ on the radio, the bus overtook the Panda not caring about the hilly road. At 2 p.m. we were already sunbathing at the beach.

Länger als gedacht wird die Reisezeit ja irgendwie fast immer. Am Ende waren es 4,5 Stunden Flug und ein zweistündiger Transfer zum Hotel. Das fühlt sich schon lang an, vor allem, wenn ein Fiat Panda mit 30 km/h gemütlich vor dem Bus her tuckert und man selbst eigentlich nur im Hotel ankommen will. 🙂 Ende gut alles gut: Das Radio laut aufgedreht (es lief gerade ‘Barbara Streisand’), überholte der Bus trotz bergiger Strecke den Fiat Panda. Um 14 Uhr lagen wir bereits am Strand.

To be the easter days together with the family is great and to stay those days in the sun is great, too. Combining both is amazing (#familytime is #qualitytime). Half Friday, full Saturday and Sunday plus half Monday. Relaxed and sun kissed we were going back on Monday evening. Short trips are definitely worth it ! 🙂

Die Feiertage mit der Familie zu verbringen ist schön. Ebenso schöne ist es, die Feiertage in der Sonne zu verbringen. Die Kombination aus beidem ist Gold wert (#familytime is #qualitytime). Der halbe Freitag, ein voller Sams- und Sonntag plus ein halber Montag. Es hat sich definitiv gelohnt ! 🙂 Montag Abend ging es dann ausgeruht und Sonnen geküsst zurück. Fazit: Jeder Kurztrip ist eine Reise wert ! 🙂

Right now, sitting in the plane I am thinking about one thing: Where to go next ? My next destination will probably be Rome in May. I’m already looking forward to seeing my friends there and to be back in one of the most beautiful cities in the word !

Jetzt gerade sitze ich im Flugzeug und denke an genau eins: Wohin geht’s als nächstes ? Das nächste Ziel wird höchstwahrscheinlich Rom Ende Mai. Ich freue mich jetzt schon, meine Freunde dort wieder zu sehen und zurück in einer der schönsten Städte der Erde zu sein !
