17092016: #CRETE PART TWO

Sooooo, weiter im Text 😉

Voll motiviert und randvoll mit Einkaufstüten aus Heraklion ging’s dann mit dem (kleinen) Hyundai in den Westen der Insel, nach Chania. Ein kleiner Zwischenstopp in Panormo durfte jedoch nicht fehlen. Das ist der Ort, an dem ich letztes Jahr für drei Monate als Fitness-Animateurin gearbeitet habe.

In a super-lucky-holiday mood and with a little car packed up to, or better, over its limits we went on to the west of crete, Chania. For sure the stop in Panormo was not to miss to say hello to everyone. Panorama is the small village at the north coast of crete, where I worked as a Fitness-Entertainer last year.

Weil es so super geklappt hat, haben wir mal wieder einen Tag vorher ein Air B’n’B gebucht und es war direkt nochmal ein Griff ins Schwarze. Das Apartment war voll ausgestattet, super geräumig und hatte eine echt schöne Terrasse (einziges Problem: Mücken :D). Das Beste war aber einfach die perfekte Lage ! 100 m zum Strand und 7 min zu Fuß in die (Alt-)Stadt.

However, as it worked out perfectly in Iraklio, we again booked an Air B’n’B one day before and we again hit the mark. The apartment was full equipped, super amply and included a lovely terrace (only problem: mosquitos :D). Last but not least, rather best: The location. Only 100 m away of Chania’s beach and 7 min way by foot to the (old-)town.

Der nächste Programmpunkt war die (Qual der) Samaria-Schlucht. Ich habe mich dem ja schon letztes Jahr (an einem Day-off mit dem Animation-Team) angenommen, aber meine Eltern wollten dieses Erlebnis auch unbedingt auf der Liste abhaken. Ich würde die Wanderung auch ehrlich gesagt immer wieder machen, da es jedes Mal etwas anders ist. 😉 Im nächsten post gibts dann mal ein paar Fakten und Tipps zur Wanderung durch die Samaria-Schlucht

The next point on our list was the (pain of the) Samaria gorge. I was making this experience already last year (on a day-off with the entertainment-team), but my parents also wanted go through this adventurous gorge. Actually I would walk through the Samaria gorge again and again because there’s always changing something, what attracts me to discover. 😉 In the next post I will give some advices and details about the hike.

Der Tag danach: Wunden lecken. Es ruhig angehen lassen. Ein wenig durch die wunderschöne Altstadt und am venezianischen Hafen von Chania entlang spazieren. Hier einmal ein paar Eindrücke aus der Stadt.

The day after: Licking wounds. Taking it as easy as possible. Having a little walk through Chania’s beautiful old town and the Venetian Port. Here some impressions about the walk through the city.

Im Urlaub vergeht die Zeit ja bekannter maßen immer am schnellsten. Der letzte Morgen in Chania ist bereits angebrochen, und es geht weiter in den Süden zum letzten Teil der Reise. Da die Markthalle von Chania zu den größten Attraktionen zählt, haben wir uns den Morgen noch einmal zu Fuß auf den Weg in die Altstadt gemacht um diese zu sehen. Dann ging’s zurück zum Apartment. Blöderweise lag Stradivarius auf dem Weg: Das Geschäft, an dem ich nicht vorbeigehen kann ohne einen kurzen (oder auch längeren) Blick reinzuwerfen. Nach dem Auschecken ließen wir die recht programmreichen Tage in Chania hinter uns und es wurde Zeit, in den chilligen Part der Reise überzugehen. Wo wäre dafür ein besserer Platz als in Pitsidia ?

Holidays always pass by too fast. The last morning in Chania already dawns before we headed to our last stop. People say, if you go to Chania once, you shouldn’t miss the market hall, and so we went there. On the way back to our apartment to check out and get the car for sure we couldn’t pass Stradivarius without entering. However, those days in Chania were really adventurous and now it was time to arrive and calm down. What can be a better place for this than Pitsidia ? Stay tuned 😉
